Late Salvation Army Christmas Assistance sign up: December 3rd-December5th from 9-3. Parents MUST have the following documentation:

*Current I.D. for all adults in the household (Michigan driver’s license or Michigan I.D.)
*Proof of dependents in the home (Social Security cards, Birth Certificates or updated shot records)
*Current Bills must contain the name and address of the individual applying for assistance. Current bills include Rent, Mortgage, Water, Gas, Electric, Telephone, Cable, etc.
*Proof of income (Pay stubs, Child Support Statement, Social Security, SSI, SSDI, DHS Statement, Unemployment/Workmen’s Comp, etc)
Without the information listed above, you will be asked to leave and return with it.

*Catholic Charities is asking for donations of unwrapped gifts for children who attend Christmas dinner at the North End Soup Kitchen location. They need items for children from infant to 14 years of age. Parents and other adults receive a new towel, socks and hygiene products rolled into one gift. These rolled items are needed also. If you would like to help, please call the NESK office at 785-6911, 8am to 1pm, ask for Jon Manse.
