GIVE. ADVOCATE. VOLUNTEER. A grant of $50,000 from United Way is being used to address issues of juvenile truancy and educational neglect. This grant was matched by $50,000 in State funds. 120 families received help to keep their children on a path to success, out of trouble and ultimately out of juvenile detention (at a cost of $80,000/a year per child).
