GIVE. ADVOCATE. VOLUNTEER.
A grant of $50,000 from United Way is being used to address issues of juvenile truancy and educational neglect. This grant was matched by $50,000 in State funds. 120 families received help to keep their children on a path to success, out of trouble and ultimately out of juvenile detention (at a cost of $80,000/a year per child).

Divison Chair


Objectives
  • To assist increasing the the financial and volunteer resources necessary to help United Way build our community
  • To provide leadership to campaign staff
  • To build and increase support for United Way in the community
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Attend Campaign Cabinet meetings on status of division
  • Provide progress reports at Campaign Cabinet meeting on status of division
  • Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of our United Ways campaign plan, strategies and timeline; setting goals and cultivating new markets
  • Call on CEOs and senior management of three to five companies, to ask for their support and lay the ground work for a successful campaign and corporate gift
  • Ensure regular communication with group chair and United Way staff to review campaign progress  
  • Serve as a spokesperson for our United Way
