Following last year’s successful playground build at Berston Field House, organizations have partnered to build two more playgrounds for the children of Flint! Partners include the Make An Impact Foundation, United Way of Genesee County, The City of Flint, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce, and Keep Genesee County Beautiful. This partnership will build two brand new playgrounds this August at two City of Flint locations, Hasselbring and Broome Park.
Thank you to Flint Child Health and Development Fund of the Foundation for Flint, United Way of Genesee County and Make an Impact Foundation for kickstarting this event with their financial contribution to the build as well as FOX66, NBC25 and CW46 for their in-kind marketing support we are within $20,000 of our goal to build these playgrounds.
The playground builds will take place the week of August 14th to coincide with the Flint Homecoming event held by the Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce. Flint homecoming will welcome back Flint & Genesee residents to provide opportunities to network and re-engage their native community.
