United Way is working to improve our community through four focus areas. Each area has a volunteer Solution Council that is comprised of local community volunteers. These volunteers work year-round to invest donor resources in ways that create positive solutions for our community.
These areas are:
Child / Youth Development
Create safe environments to ensure healthy development, positive values and skills for life.
Older Adults
Provide opportunities for independent living.Ensure the safety and physical and emotional
well being of older adults, including support for caregivers.
Strengthening Families
Develop a pathway to self-sufficiency through support of programs that promote physical and emotional health and opportunities for personal growth.
Basic Needs
Provide a safety net for individuals and families whose circumstances put them at risk and who need assistance for essential services in the areas of shelter, food, transportation and clothing.
