Flint Comcast Rocks the UW! Michigan took the lead early in this year’s United Way campaign, thanks to several locations that had high participation in the first week. Flint was one of those locations. By the end of the campaign, 80 percent of the staff there had pledged.
“I’m on the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, just one organization that benefits from United Way contributions, and I see through that experience the value of giving and what it means to organizations that need our support,” she added. Flint TechOps led the way by ending the campaign with a 92 percent participation rate. TechOps Manager Ron Wilson attributed this high number to the fact that his staff takes serving the community very personally. |
