Greg found his passion in Genesee Serves

Greg started volunteering in 2016 during the Flint Water Crisis.  He became interested in serving the community through his work assembling water testing kits.  Greg connected with United Way through Genesee Serves to find out other ways he can volunteer. Since then he has volunteered all across the community distributing food, helping with family events, and raising funds for local non-profits selling 50-50 tickets at Firebirds Games.

What does Greg have to say?

"I enjoy helping other people in general but more so those with special needs due to life circumstances or unexpected crisis. I have had difficulties in my life and God has had others help me so I feel it is expected that I do the same. I believe in a quote that states: Service is the rent we pay for being: It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time. I might also add I am blessed with a little sense of humor and when I can make someone smile or laugh with all of life's struggles it makes me feel good. If I can impact 1 person’s life positively and perhaps give them a lifelong memory, I have succeeded."
