Bone Marrow Program
Over 17,000 potential donors from Genesee County have been added to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) through the United Way/Labor Bone Marrow Program. The result is 40 life saving matches. Handicapped Ramp Program
Since the mid-1980s, over 4,500 handicap ramps have been built for people in need in our community throught the United Way/Labor Ramp Program. For more information on the Handicapped Ramp Program contact Teresa McGinnis at 810-762-5831 or email uawlaborliaison@unitedwaygenesee.org.


Great StartProject SKIP to a Great Start
Successful Kids = Involved Parents
Project SKIP focuses on children prenatal to Kindergarten age and their parents. A county-wide multi-collaborative whose partners include: The Genesee Intermediate School District, Priority Children, Flint Community Schools, all 21 Genesee County School Districts, multiple government and non-profit agencies and Federal, State, Foundation, United Way of Genesee County, and Corporate funding. Over 4,200 Genesee County families and 10,568 children have benefitted from this program.

Fiscal Sponsorship Services
United Way of Genesee County saves local programs by serving as a Fiscal Sponsor for human service programs in our community; Weed & Seed Project Safe Neighborhoods, Keep Genesee County Beautiful, BEST Project, Ex-Offender Federal Grant, The New McCree Threatre, Church Without Walls, Youth Karate-Ka Harvesting Earth, Raise It Up, and Quinn Chapel Project Citizen; Youth Perspectives.
