Ramp Program
The Handicap Ramp Program continues to build ramps for handicapped individuals who have been confined to their homes. This program provides assistance to disabled citizens through the construction of residential ramps. UAW/GM-Delphi volunteers and United Way respond to requests from disabled and elderly citizens who need wheelchair accessibility for their home. Because of the skill and generosity of dedicated UAW members, the Ramp Program volunteers make it possible for relatives, friends and neighbors to go to doctor appointments, church, run errands, visit friends and relatives, and have an active lifestyle.
