Workplace Campaign
The lifeblood of United Way’s annual fundraising efforts is the workplace campaign.  Employees in companies all over Genesee County work together to create fundraising campaigns that raise millions of dollars for our community.

The most popular donation method for workplace campaigns is payroll deduction, in which your United Way contribution is directly deducted from your paycheck.  For many people this is the easiest way to give to United Way.  To find out if your company runs a United Way campaign and or offers payroll deduction, check with your human resource department.

Corporate Gifts
United Way also enjoys a special partnership with many corporations across our community.  In addition to running a workplace campaign for themselves and their employees, United Way looks to the business leaders for a corporate gift.  United Way’s Fund Development team works with each company individually to make sure that they receive the maximum impact for their gift.  All donations to United Way are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Neighborhood Business Opportunities
As the economic landscape of Flint and Genesee County changed neighborhood or small businesses have been extremely innovative, creating new jobs and developing new markets.  Historically, it has been harder for a traditional United Way campaign to operate in neighborhood businesses.  However, United Way of Genesee County is working hard to create special giving programs just for them. 

Regardless of the size of your business, you are an important part of the United Way fundraising campaign.  The entire community’s gifts come together, regardless of size, to make the greatest impact possible.  There are thousands of neighborhood businesses throughout Genesee County, imagine if each gave just $25, $50 or $100 to help build a stronger community. 

Ways neighborhood businesses can help:

• Display United Way information for your customers
• Make a business and/or personal gift.  A donation of $25, $50 or $100 or whatever amount you can afford will make a difference
• Encourage your employees to give.
