About the Flint Recovery Corps/Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps AmeriCorps Program
Through the United Way of Genesee County and partner organizations, the Flint Recovery Corps/ Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps AmeriCorps programs utilizes service members to provide programming related to crime prevention, food security and nutrition, behavioral and developmental health, early education, and medical management as strategies toward long-term recovery from the water crisis. Flint Recovery Corps/ Flint Urban Safety Corps positions are 12 month AmeriCorps positions with full-time and half-time slots available.

Qualified candidates will:
- Have an interest in helping communities/neighborhoods/residents
- Commitment to 1 year of service (12 months)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Flint-based candidates are highly encouraged to apply
Member benefits:
- $13,732 living stipend (full-time) or $6,866 (half-time)
- $6,095 education award (full-time) or 3,047 (half-time) for successful completion (may be used to pay off student loans or to pay for future education for member or a close relative)
