United Way Supports Nonprofit Capacity Building
United Way of Genesee County's nonprofit infrastructure support is designed to strengthen the nonprofit sector of Flint and Genesee County by providing capacity building support and technical assistance. Since 2003, UWGC has worked with more than 100 Genesee County agencies through educational programs, organizational development grants and technical assistance resources. Agencies have subsequently expanded programs to serve more individuals in need, leveraged new financial and human capital and collaborated with cross-sector leaders to ensure alignment with community needs.
