What it's like to Work United

United Way fights for the health, education, financial stability and basic needs for every resident of Genesee and Shiawassee Counties.  We go looking for the toughest challenges and we fight. We are more than the fundraisers.  We are the game-changers.  The hand-raisers.  The stop talking, start doing and take on the impossible task-masters.

Dynamic Collaboration

We embrace technology, walking meetings and video chats when we're in the field.  We value different ideas, perspectives and a can-do attitude. Our success requires that all departments work together to ensure that we're all focused on one thing: serving our community.

Our Talent

UWGC is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the principle of diversity. We therefore:

  • Value, champion, and embrace diversity in all aspects of UWGC activities and respect others without regard to race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, national origin or ancestry, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or status as a qualified disabled or handicapped individul.
  • Support affirmative action and equal employment opportunity programs throughout UWGC.
  • Refuse to engage in or tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment.

The Office

Located in the Plaza One Building in downtown Flint, our office is steps away from diverse eateries, arts, culture, universities and the nationally recognized Flint Farmers Market. Throughout the year, many events and festivals including the Crim Festival of Races and Back to the Bricks take place right outside our door. Inside, our office is an inspiring place to work with murals by local artists and views of downtown.
